Welcome to Lil Kickers, the Franklin Square Raiders Soccer Club’s introductory developmental soccer program for U4 players born between August 1, 2022 and July 31, 2023.

 

Designed specifically for our youngest players, Lil Kickers introduces children to soccer in a fun, positive, and age-appropriate environment. Professional trainers from Royal Sporting Group use games, activities, and skill-building exercises to help children become comfortable with the ball while developing confidence, coordination, and a love for the game.

Fall 2026 Lil Kickers Program

Lil Kickers is an 8-week Sunday morning soccer program created specifically for young players beginning their soccer journey.

 

Each week follows a progressive curriculum of age-appropriate skills, activities, and game play designed to maximize touches on the ball and build confidence. 

 

Every session is led by professional soccer trainers from Royal Sporting Group, giving players a fun and structured introduction to the fundamentals of soccer.

 

Each Lil Kickers session is 60 minutes.

KickStart is an 8-week Sunday morning program.Royal Sporting professional soccer trainers will introduce the game of soccer to the children through age-appropriate games and skills training.Kickstart sessions follow a weekly progression of skills /activities/ game-play that emphasizes confidence building through touches on the ballEach KickStart session will be 60 minutes in duration.
 
Field Location: Sewanhaka High SchoolSpace is limited and requests for specific teammates or coaches will not be granted.
 
Session Start Times: The KickStart Program is scheduled for Sundays at 9:00 A.M.
 
Uniform Information: Registration DOES NOT include a uniform. Your child’s uniform must be purchased at 1001 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY.516-437-6403.Inform Sport Loft that you have registered for the Franklin Square Raiders KickStart Program. 
 
Equipment Needed: A size 3 soccer ball, shin guards, and soccer cleats are required.
Registration Fee: $195. Registration will CLOSE on September 6, 2026. Late registration cannot guarantee placement on a team if the session has filled to capacity.
All Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.  All new registrants may be asked to provide proof of age.
 
Games begin on September 13, 2026.

What to Expect

Our goal is to make your child’s first soccer experience positive, exciting, and developmentally appropriate. During each session, Royal Sporting Group’s professional trainers introduce players to soccer through:

  • Age-appropriate soccer games and activities
  • Ball control and introductory soccer skills
  • Frequent touches on the ball
  • Coordination and movement exercises
  • Confidence-building activities
  • Introductory game play
  • Fun and positive interaction with other young players

The program follows a weekly progression, allowing players to gradually develop their abilities and become more comfortable on the field throughout the eight-week season.

What Your Player Will Need

Every player should arrive prepared with:

  • Size 3 soccer ball
  • Shin guards
  • Soccer cleats
  • Lil Kickers uniform

Please clearly label your child’s equipment whenever possible.
