Welcome to the Spring 2026 Intramural Season

Welcome to the Franklin Square Raiders 2026 Spring Intramural season! Intramural soccer is our Fall/Spring developmental soccer program for U3 – U13 aged players, and it’s focused on introducing kids to the beautiful game of soccer and developing foundational skills for application in recreational game play. Our intramural program is great for those who want to keep their children active and experience the developmental benefits of team sports. The program is also a great first step for kids who want to play more competitively and serves as a bridge to our Supplemental Academy and Travel programs.

Age Grouping Update

Note: this will be the first season that uses the revised age groupings aligned to US Soccer and Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association, which more closely align to the school calendar and grade levels.

Program Format & Weekly Structure

All divisions will meet once a week on Sundays in the Spring for a training session followed by live game play, and all teams will be assigned a dedicated professional trainer to manage soccer activities and lead the development of our young players. During the Spring season, we also offer Supplemental pre-travel and academy soccer programs during the week, available to all those who wish to participate. Kickstart is our introductory developmental program for U4 Players born between August 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022 Program
 
KickStart is an 8-week Sunday morning program.Royal Sporting professional soccer trainers will introduce the game of soccer to the children through age-appropriate games and skills training.Kickstart sessions follow a weekly progression of skills /activities/ game-play that emphasizes confidence building through touches on the ballEach KickStart session will be 60 minutes in duration.
 
Field Location: Sewanhaka High School Space is limited and requests for specific teammates or coaches will not be granted.
 
Session Start Times:The KickStart Program is scheduled for Sundays at 9:00 A.M.
 
Uniform Information:Registration DOES NOT include a uniform. Your child’s uniform must be purchased at 1001 Jericho Turnpike,New Hyde Park, NY.516-437-6403.Inform Sport Loft that you have registered for the Franklin Square Raiders KickStart Program. 
 
Equipment Needed:A size 3 soccer ball, shin guards, and soccer cleats are required.

Our Instructional division continues the introduction to soccer and development of foundational skills needed for the sport. The program is for U5 / U6 Players born between August 1, 2019 – July 31, 2021. 
 
Program Details: Instructional soccer is a coed program for players U5 / U6The U5 / U6 division (or “under 5 / under 6” division). Instructional soccer is an 8-week Sunday morning program. Royal Sporting professional soccer trainers will introduce the game of soccer to the children focusing on foundational skills and concept development through age-appropriate games and skills training. Instructional sessions follow a weekly progression of skills /activities/ game-play that emphasizes confidence building through touches on the ball and the introduction of teamwork through live game play. Each Instructional session will be 60 minutes in duration, including a 30-minute training session followed by 25-30 minute game play
 
Field Location: Sewanhaka High School. Space is limited and requests for specific teammates or coaches will not be granted.

Our Division I program continues the development of foundational skills needed for the sport and introduces structured, competitive game play through the 7v7 game format. The program is for U7 / U8 Players born between August 1, 2017 – July 31, 2019. 
 
Program Details:Division I includes separate boys and girls programs for players U7 / U8The U7 / U8 division (or “under 7 / under 8” division). Division I soccer is an 8-week Sunday morning program. Royal Sporting professional soccer trainers will continue to focus on foundational skills and concept development through focused training sessions teaching dribbling, passing, shooting and technical footwork. Division I also includes he introduction of structured 7v7 game play teaching developmental concepts of team play including positions/roles, spacing, building out, possession, team attacking and team defending. Each Division I session will be 60 minutes in duration, including a 15-minute training session followed by a 45-minute competitive 7v7 game

Franklin Square Raiders Soccer Club is proud to be one of the only clubs in the area to offer a fun, recreational soccer program for older players up to the U13 age group. Our Division III program continues the development of foundational soccer skills through fun 7v7 and/or 9v9 “pick-up” style live game play. The program is for U11 / U12 / U13 Players born between August 1, 2012 – July 31, 2015. 
 
Program Details:Division III is a coed program for players U11 / U12 / U13The U11 / U12 / U13 division (or “under 11 / 12 / 13” division). Division III soccer is an 8-week Sunday morning program, and is the only competitive Intramural program at the club with league standings and end-of-year playoffRoyal Sporting professional soccer trainers will continue to focus on foundational skills and advanced concept development through focused training sessions teaching ball mastery, dribbling, passing, shooting and technical footworkDivision III continues the development and practical application of team play concepts through 7v7 and/or 9v9 game play – positions/roles, spacing, checking in, building out, possession, team attacking and team defendingEach Division III session will be 70 minutes in duration, including a 15-minute training session followed by a 55-minute competitive game
