Supplemental (Junior) Supplemental Training

Everyone loves good competition, but it’s really hard to develop skills in a match. Typically in a 40-minute match, the average player will touch the ball for 1-3 minutes. Total! And don’t forget the opposing players who will try to ensure that your child does not get the chance to improve. And if he/she is playing U5-U6, then they’re probably going to have to fake out their own teammates as well since they, too, are trying to get the ball for themselves. Those conditions are pretty tough to overcome in order to improve at this “amazing game”.

The players that we see improving the most are those who take training as seriously, if not more seriously than the matches all while having fun at the same time. We have formed a great partnership with our training partners to keep the registration fee very low!

In a single 60-minute session, your child will have a ball at their feet nearly the entire time, or for about 4 seasons’ worth of gameplay given the information above. That’s time for a lot of improvement!

Please remember this program is in addition to “Intramural Soccer” played on Sundays.

However, we understand some players may only be able to participate in weekday programs and we’d be happy to have you attend.

U7 Supplemental Training

Developmental Soccer is a pre travel soccer program for U7 intramural players that are looking for a bit more from their soccer experience. Supplemental practice will last 6 weeks and run on weekday evenings in the Fall and Spring depending on registrations and field availability.

As a community program, we want to meet every soccer player where they are. Those who develop a bit more quickly than the average player or who are extra enthusiastic about the game may look to enhance their experience by participating in our Supplemental training programs. Sometimes simply getting more touches on the ball in advanced training sessions makes a huge difference in player development.

All players will receive training from our professional training partners on a weekly basis, as well as in-game instruction from the trainer during small sided games.

U8 Pretravel Academy Supplemental Training

Our supplemental training also includes our U8 Pre-travel program. This program is especially critical for those players who might be interested in our competitive travel program. Our supplemental Pre-travel program is a great way to develop critical fundamental skills required for competitive soccer and be seen by our trainers leading up to new team tryouts in May.
